I just realized through a distant cousin that my passion for the arts runs deeper than just my love of the arts. It's the result of the imprint of those who came before me in our family. There are a number of singers and actors that I never realized that are and were throughout my family. Having music constantly being played throughout my house growing up must have awakened that drive, that urgency to make art. How many of us are driven with passion, no matter if it's towards construction, healing, engineering, etc. and not know why you feel the need to be drawn to it, like a moth to a flame? I wonder how much of what we do, or what we become is a result of our ancestry? To have an instinctual need to do, be or want and truly not know why? We all have a responsibility to our ancestors past, present and future to succeed and survive. My hustle is 24/7 in my mind, and the grind never stops just because I'm sleeping. Someone is watching you and counting on you: your little brother, your baby niece, your cousin, to follow in your footsteps.
